April 2026 Game Camera Study
April brought a noticeable increase in wildlife activity across the game camera network as spring continued settling in throughout the property. Turkey activity stayed strong throughout the month, while Raccoons, Opossums, Gray Foxes, and Squirrels continued showing up consistently across many camera locations. Bobcats and coyotes were also captured moving through several sites during both daytime and nighttime hours, highlighting the wide range of species active throughout the property during spring.
Several interesting bird and wildlife captures stood out throughout the month, including Great Blue Herons, American Crows, Mourning Doves, Hawks, Owls, and even a Bobcat photographed appearing to pounce toward a Raccoon. River Otters continued making appearances near wetter areas, while Skunks remained active across multiple cameras.
April’s warmer temperatures and longer days brought more daytime wildlife movement overall, and many species appeared increasingly active as spring progressed. With nesting season underway and vegetation continuing to thicken across the landscape, the transition into late spring is now becoming more visible on cameras each week.
