June 2025 – Game Camera Study

June brought an abundance of wildlife activity, but the undeniable highlight was Paintjob, our fan-favorite piebald White-tailed Deer, seen caring for two fawns! Our cameras caught multiple moments of the trio foraging and exploring together. These twin fawns appear healthy, active, and closely bonded to their uniquely spotted mother—an encouraging sign of successful early development.

Fawn sightings across the property are steadily increasing, and the young deer are becoming braver each week. Our Northern Bobwhites were seen on camera multiple times throughout the month, with their calls still being frequently heard around the property. Along with these quail sightings, there were several Turkey poults who also made frequent, fluffy appearances.

Other fun highlights included an opossum carrying grass with its tail, a doe watching a raccoon climb a tree, and a Red-shouldered Hawk pausing in front of the camera. Northern Raccoons, Eastern Gray Squirrels, and Great Blue Herons continue to be regulars. There is never a dull moment on the trail cams—stay tuned for July!
